About & Terms of Use
"What I need from you" (WINFY) is a simple sharp tool for collaborators focused on getting stuff done.
As such, it does not have notifications - we all already get enough of those. It may eventually have a daily or weekly email digest, but nonetheless it'll be best to notify people in other ways or get prior agreement if adding urgent things to someone's list. Mostly this tool was designed to make it easier to remember one's own commitments, not to ping people with tasks.
Nor is WINFY made for discussions. Comments are implemented for the sake of things like "Addressed this in an email." Note that checked off items will fall to the bottom of the list where they may not be noticed, so a good workflow if something is completed in this manner is to add the comment and then allow your collaborator to check off the item once they've seen the comment.
WINFY also does not have passwords (another thing we already have too many of). Anyone with a link to a list will have access to that list. These links are designed to be practically unguessable, but we make no guarantees about confidentiality of data in lists. Use accordingly. On our side, we may use your data for improving WINFY, but we will NEVER sell it. You aren't the product here.
Lists not touched will be deleted after 1 year of inactivity. If a list is deleted, or the the link to it is lost, it's gone forever. This is good, actually. Not everything in our digital life needs to be eternal; some things are better forgotten. If it's really important it will no doubt be possible and even fruitful to re-create the list. But if worred about losing a list, it's worth writing the link down somewhere, bookmarking it, or sending it in an email or text you'll be able to find later.
Also, lists are cheap; make as many as you'd like! And feel free to submit feedback about how we could continue to improve this. We aim to try very hard to avoid becoming overfeatured, but if enough people suggest a change or feature, we will add it.
Happy collaborating!
